with the holidays here and christmas just a few days away, i couldn't think of a better time to share some cocktail recipes! (not to mention it's friday and we probably all need one).
sierra mist sent over some of their seasonal cranberry splash for me to experiment with. and with family in town this was perfect timing for getting a little feedback on my mixology skills;)
i also have a great giveaway to share with you at the the end of this posts if you are into mixing up cocktails and mocktails!
first up, my own creation... let's call it a cranberry spritzer shall we? if you read my blog, or even follow me on instagram, i'm sure you are fully aware by now of my love for wine. which is why i decided to give a cocktail with wine a go.
all you need is a bottle of pinot grigio, sierra mist cranberry splash, a lime, handful of blackberries and a bit of agave nectar. oh, and don't forget holiday lighting and candles to get you in the spirit.
pour about 4 oz. of wine into a cocktail shaker, 1/2 oz. of agave nectar, squeeze in a quarter of a lime, then muddle that with 4-5 blackberries. add ice and shake.
top of with sierra mist and you have yourself and refreshing holiday drink!
i garnished with a toothpick of blackberries to enjoy as you sip.
using some recipe cards i received, i whipped up a quick cranberry citrus sparkler.
you'll need orange vodka, sierra mist cranberry splash, orange liqueur and grapefruit juice.
combine 1 oz. orange vodka, 2 oz. sierra mist cranberry, 1/2 oz. orange liqueur and 1 oz. grapefruit juice in a cocktail shaker, add ice, shake and serve in a martini glass. mmm.
my favorite part about adding this to my cocktails is refreshing citrus kick (and bubbles) it provides.
so, mix up a cocktail for yourself and keep reading to enter the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteThese look delish and yes, especially on a Friday! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Holiday cocktail would probably have to be peppermint vodka. I gave it a try this year and loooove it.
Gorgeous photos! Favorite holiday cocktail: champagne cocktail!
ReplyDeleteLooks simple and sounds delicious! I adore wine mixes because they are usually a little tart and a little sweet, not too much of either!
ReplyDeleteAnd my favorite holiday cocktail is mulled wine! Perfect to keep warm!
ReplyDeleteI love to keep it simple and classic - hot cider with a bit (ok, a little more than a bit!) of whiskey.
ReplyDeleteI would love this! It is hard to choose my favorite holiday cocktail... I love me a classic Old Fashioned during the holidays. But, also, some spiked eggnog!
ReplyDeleteThese sound yummy! My favorite holiday cocktail is champange with St. Germain, I just feel like you need bubbly at the holidays :-)
